Mythic World

Walk My World brings to life the tragic love story of Aeneas and Dido, an epic episode by the ancient Roman poet Virgil, where the mythic heroes of Troy and Carthage speak to you in the language of dance and contemporary circus. Passing through the gates, you enter breathtakingly rich spaces: gods, mortals, and strange creatures from mythology surround you as each scene reveals new secrets, hidden details, fierce battles, bustling crowds, and demigods from the underworld. In this world woven with power games of gods, intrigue, deceit, and love, anything can happen. It’s entirely up to you to decide where to go, what to discover, whom to follow, whose secret room you peep into and whether you take a sip of the potion left on the table in one of the steamy rooms.

Recirquel

The concept of this immersive production was created by the world-renowned Hungarian contemporary circus company Recirquel, under the direction of Bence Vági. Over the past decade, the company has pioneered a new direction in contemporary performing arts by developing its own unique artistic language, cirque danse—a seamless fusion of contemporary circus with elements of modern and classical dance.

Recirquel’s productions—including Paris de Nuit, My Land, Solus Amor, IMA (Prayer), and Paradisum, performed at international festivals and world stages—demonstrate how the company’s distinctive artistic voice can both convey universal emotions and create a world deeply rooted in Hungarian heritage. Poetry, visual splendor, and theatrical power define their performances, which have established Recirquel as one of the world’s leading contemporary circus companies.

Aeneas

A hero and demigod who fled the fallen Troy at divine command. He bears a sacred mission: to find a new homeland for his people, foretold by Hector’s prophecy as their destined home in Italy. He is a soldier swept along by fate and the will of the gods, guided by his mother, Venus, his most devoted guardian.

Amor

Son of Venus, god of love, and half-brother to Aeneas. He radiates sensuality and desire. His relationship with his mother is deeply unhealthy – he craves her attention, idolizing her to obsession. This grotesque devotion is reflected in his chamber, where every wall is adorned with images of Venus. Though he indulges in pleasure and lovers with hedonistic fervor, he loves only one truly: Psyche, his beloved “captive” in his palace.

Amor's wings

The lustful god’s living, independent wing. When not serving Amor’s designs and desires, it follows its own impulses—reveling in freedom, mischief, and unrestrained passion.

Anna

Sister of Queen Dido of Carthage. Compassionate and devoted, she always puts her sister’s well-being first. Like Dido, she worships the goddess Juno with deep reverence. Denying herself worldly pleasures, she finds complete fulfillment in serving her sister.

Juno

Queen of heaven and the skies, mistress of celestial light and moonlight, wife of Jupiter. Jealous, vengeful, and unyielding, she is as capable of cunning intrigue as she is of fierce destruction. Her hatred of the Trojans knows no bounds, yet she guards Dido—and Carthage itself—with unwavering devotion.

Cassandra

Sister of Hector and the misunderstood prophetess of fallen Troy, Cassandra was cursed by Apollo—whose love she had rejected—to see the future with perfect clarity, yet never to be believed. Condemned to endless rejection, she bears the torment of foresight while powerless to prevent the loss of all she holds dear.

Hector

Troy’s greatest hero and the city’s staunchest defender, who gives his life for his homeland. The embodiment of perfect masculine virtue: a dutiful son, loyal husband, loving father, and steadfast friend. A man of keen intellect and fearsome martial skill, though he finds no joy in bloodshed. It is he who sets Aeneas upon his long journey.

Dido

Founding queen of Carthage. A strong and independent woman whose heroic spirit is paired with a gentle, feminine grace. Her deeply compassionate heart has brought her much pain, yet she finds the courage to open it time and again. Her palace reflects her mourning and her past, yet also her connection to the divine and her most cherished relics.

Fama

A cunning and manipulative woman who always places herself above all others, constantly eavesdropping and gathering secrets. She draws knowledge from those around her, turning it to her own advantage. Though morally corrupt, she is strikingly beautiful—her allure serving as her most formidable weapon of deceit.

Deiphobus

A valiant Trojan warrior, one of the first to fall during the city’s destruction. Even in death, his restless soul found no peace, forever haunting the ruins of lost Troy.

The Minotaur

Leda

A Trojan refugee who has lost everything. A woman of striking beauty, resourceful and cautious enough to survive against all odds. Aware of her charms, she will do almost anything to secure her own comfort. Though she appears delicate, she is in truth a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Aeneas

A lerombolt Trójából isteni parancsra menekülő hős és félisten. Küldetéssel bír: új hazát kell találnia népének, mely a Hektor által megfogalmazott jóslat szerint Itáliában lesz. A sors és az istenek közbenjárása által folyamatosan sodródó katona, kinek édesanyja, Vénusz a legfőbb jóakarója.

Amor

Amor

Vénusz fia, a szerelem istene, és Aeneas féltestvére. Árad belőle az erotika és a vágy. Anyjával, Vénusszal való viszonya rendkívül egészégtelen, éhezi az istennő figyelmét, bálványozza édesanyját. Ezen groteszk vonzalma megjelenik birodalmában is, hol a falakat Vénuszról készült rajzok borítják. Bár hedonista módon habzsolja az élvezeteket és szeretőket, egyedül csak a „palotába zárt” Psziché iránt táplál igaz szerelmet.

Amors wings

Amor szárnya

A kéjsóvár istenség külön életét élő szárnya, aki mikor nem Ámor terveinek, parancsainak megvalósításán fáradozik, gazdájához hűen szabadon engedi ösztöneit és kiteljesedik a vágy és csínytevés forgatagában.

Anna

Karthagó királynőjének, Didonak a nővére. Gondos, empatikus jellem, aki mindig maga elé helyezi húga jóllétét. Akárcsak Dido, ő is mély odaadással hódol Juno istennőnek. Nem enged a hétköznapi örömöknek, húgának szolgálata teljes mértékben kielégíti őt.

Cassandra

Hector húga, az elesett Trója soha meg nem értett jósnője. Viszonzatlan szerelme miatt azzal az átokkal sújtotta őt Apolló, hogy tisztán lássa a jövőt, ám jóslatainak senki se higgyen. A folytonos elutasításra kárhoztatott nőnek hordoznia kell a terhet, hogy tisztánlátása ellenére mindent elveszít, mi kedves neki.

Dido

Dido

Karthágó alapító úrnője. Egy erős és független nő, kinek hősies jellemvonásaihoz egy kifejezetten gyengéd, nőies megjelenés társul. Mélyen érző szíve sok fájdalmat okozott neki, mégis képes újra és újra megnyitni azt. Palotája feltárja gyászát és múltját, de egyben a spiritualitással való kapcsolatát és legféltettebb ereklyéit is.

Fama

Fáma

Egy manipulatív, saját magát mindenki elé helyező nő, aki folyamatosan fülel. Próbál minél több információt megszerezni és begyűjteni a környezetéből, hogy később a javára fordíthassa. Lelki és erkölcsi romlottsága ellenére egy rendkívül szemrevaló nő, ez az egyik legfőbb fegyvere a manipuláció megteremtésében.

Deiphobus

Deiphobus

Hősies trójai katona, aki az egyik első áldozata volt a mindent elpusztító csatának. A másvilág sem hozott megnyugvást lényének, nem tudta elengedni szeretett hazája emlékét. Zaklatott lelke örökké a megsemmisült Trója romjait kísérti.

Hektor

Hektor

Trója legnagyobb hőse, a város legfőbb támasza, ki életét adja otthonáért. A tökéletes férfiúi erények megtestesítője: tisztelettudó fiú, hűséges férj, szerető apa, megbízható barát. A kiemelkedő intellektusú férfi vérmes katonai képességekkel bír, azonban nem leli örömét a vérontásban. Ő indítja el Aeneast az évekig tartó útján.

Juno

Léda

Trójai menekült, kinek mindene odaveszett. Egy gyönyörű nő, aki van annyira leleményes és elővigyázatos, hogy túléljen a viszontagságok ellenére. Tisztában van adottságaival és szinte bármire hajlandó, hogy megteremtse magának az ideális létkörülményeket. Bár törékeny szépségnek tűnik, sokkal inkább báránybőrbe bújt farkas.

Torzszülöttként jött a világra. Hogy ne tudjon kárt tenni az emberekben, egy labirintusba zárták az emberi testtel és bikafejjel rendelkező lényt. Izmos és megtermett, rendkívüli erővel rendelkezik. A folytonos, kényszerű magány és a megvetés, illetve rettegés, amit az emberek oldaláról tapasztalt, tette őt igazából szörnnyé. Eredendően nem egy romlott lélek, a kitaszítás formálta kegyetlenné.

Isteni mivoltának köszönhetően folyamatosan befolyásolja és alakítja a halandók sorsát, illetve fáradhatatlanul próbálja csillapítani a benne tomboló, kielégíthetetlen vágyat.
